Riding it out. Both a biding...

Riding it out. Both a biding of time and a catharsis, an exorcism, in this machine where write and ride have the same meaning. A deep-seeded tiredness not yet slept out.

A good change of fortune: the weekend classes before my vacation will begin have been moved to the Monday and Tuesday of my vacation, because the public schools are holding classes that weekend to "make up" for the time "lost" during Dragon Boat Festival. Sometimes this country is so crazy. But it works to my benefit this time: my vacation will effectively start two days earlier and I'll be spared the work of 3 weekends instead of just 2. I feel this makes up for getting no extra time off last Christmas. Though the new term of adult classes is beginning this week, and I just found out this Tuesday that this term will hold class on Mondays and Fridays. I guess they were having difficulty getting adults to sign up for Tuesday and Thursday classes. Which would be just fine - it groups my work days and off days together more - except now I can't see 王楠 on Friday evenings. Though I just realized as I am writing this, that it's not really a problem, because she will be starting her summer vacation soon, and so will be able to see me whenever I have time. Ah, small blessings to get me through this time where my motivation is low to do so much work and just want to start my vacation with my parents already!
