Power soon to give out. Forgot to recharge. It seems to speak also of myself in the last few weeks. Meeks speaks week peaks hijinks he blinks I think it stinks far flung links bar hung shrinks post-apocaliques.
Did some research about Dragon Boat Festival, formally known as 端午节 Duan Wu Jie. It's a holiday associated with political exiles who have committed suicide. The main one was a favored adviser to a King during the Waring States period, until his opinions ran counter to the official policy - to ally with the state of Qin. After living some time in exile, the Qin state overthrew this advisor/poet's Chu state, and he took a big stone into the river and drowned himself. The local people reputedly went out on dragon boats to try and rescue him. After his suicide, the people threw rice into the river , which, depending on the story, was either a way to keep the fishes from eating him or was for him. Anyway, it's a glutinous rice with a filling wrapped in bamboo leaves (kind of a Chinese tamale) called zongzi, which is the tradional snack on this day. Apparently Confucians placed this story on top of traditions that already existed on the day centered around protecting health. This day is when yang energy is at it's peak, so I guess your health can become unbalanced during this time by so much yang energy. The connection between the two layers makes sense to me. I can see how too much yang energy could make a man kill himself. ;-)
