Today I joined a new gym...

Today I joined a new gym that I'd seen when I went to the Qu Jiang lake park last week with 王楠. It's in a beautiful and ideal location for me: to the south, where I bike anyway, because it's not congested there, and next to the lake, where I can practice taijiquan. The standard price for one year is ¥5580 but I held out and got them to lower it to ¥2480. I knew I could get them to lower it, because it's a new gym, so they are trying to increase membership, and it would be a good selling point to have a waiguoren around. That's about par for most gyms, and there's one that's less that half that, but this is a really nice place in a nice location. There is a personal trainer that took some measurements of my muscle to body-fat ratio who is designing a muscle-training plan for me. Also, they have a room where you can practice calligraphy and drink tea, with a month-long calligraphy class that runs now and again.

This is the plan for my days in the foreseeable future:
-get up by 7
-eat a good breakfast (I recently bought oatmeal stuff)
-bike around the south
-do my muscle-training program at the gym
-practice taijiquan by the lake
-shower at gym and then practice calligraphy and write on my blog in the tea area there.
-return home and study/practice Chinese in the afternoon at home, out in the city, and with a tutor.
