Two nights ago had birthday...

Two nights ago had birthday party at hotpot restaurant and then on to nightclub. Several of my foreign coworkers, a few of my Chinese class classmates, and even one of my teachers came to the hotpot. Also, some Chinese people I know through Dan's girlfriend. And Sarah, Dan's girlfriend, came to the club. Wished I had tried to talk 王楠 into leaving her university for that night, as my teacher wanted to meet her. She made an extra effort the night before to visit me before she went to school Sunday night. Gave me a nice new belt, which I needed, a beer bowl, which I'd been talking about, a cake, and a sweet letter. I have the letter in my bag and want to reread it now. Cha Cha, an Indonesian guy in our class, and one who came to my party, I'm starting to find a bit annoying now and then. He's a bit too serious. Last night, was invited by some of my adult students to come with them to a spring near Xi'an this Friday. Asked 王楠 if she could skip her Friday class just once to come with me. No reply yet. If not, I won't go, as we'd be wearing swimsuits and the students are young women, so it would be weird without her. Plus, I want to spend time with her.
