Stuck in a traffic jam again going around the South Square of Da Yan Ta. Thought it would be different today, at this time of the evening, because a few weekends ago the jam was pretty temporary. But the construction is much worse. Should have got a taxi, but I'm too cheap, trying to save money. Last night I was thinking about how much to budget for future expenses. I'm planning to buy an engagement ring and also for a ticket home for Sean's wedding. This weekend the bygone tiredness started coming back. Not going out for a staff meal this weekend so that I can go to bed earlier. The new manager, Karl, used to be a computer programmer and set up my wireless password. Said it worked at his apartment with his computer. Hopefully it will finally work and I'll have wi-fi. I'll upload these latest blogs. Last night I was reading part of 西游记 (Journey to the West) with 王楠 and got an idea for a collaboration project with Jon. There was this interlude in the story where two scholars, one a woodcutter and the other a fisherman, compete to say whose life is better by quoting poetry. Finally, they decided to quit quoting and write some collaborative couplets about their lives in which they come to complement each other in harmony. I'd like to do something along those lines with him. The only rules are that we would be restricted to one line each, that they be in some way about our lives in our respective places, and that we make some effort to mirror the content of the other's line.
